Los Angeles County Museum of Art
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is one of the world’s largest art museums. Its collection of over 130,000 works of art spans more than five centuries of human culture. LACMA also features distinguished collections of Asian and Latin American art, along with European and contemporary art.
The original complex consisted of three buildings designed by local modernist William Pereira. Included were the Lytton Gallery, which presented changing exhibitions, and the Ahmanson Building, which housed the permanent collection.
